LAWS & REGULATIONS

It is against the law to help a drunk person obtain or consume alcohol on licensed or regulated premises. Penalties: $10,000 - licensee/manager $4,000 - employee or agent $2,000 - any other case. Section 115(2) – Liquor Control Act 1988

It is against the law to sell or supply liquor to a drunk person. If a manager or employee of the premises decides that you are ‘drunk’ you will not be served liquor and may be required to leave the venue. Section 3(A) & 115(2), 115(4) – Liquor Control Act 1988

It is against the law to sell or supply liquor to a drunk person. You can be considered to be drunk if: • Your speech, balance, coordination or behavior appears to be noticeably impaired. • It is reasonable to believe that your impairment results from the consumption of liquor. Section 3A & 115(2) – Liquor Control Act 1988

It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to a person who is drunk. Penalties: $10,000 - licensee/manager $4,000 - employee or agent $2,000 - any other case. Section 115(2) – Liquor Control Act 1988

OUR PRIMARY SERVICE IS THE PROVISION OF FOOD. Section 60(4)(ca) – Liquor Control Act 1988 • The sale and supply of liquor to patrons is restricted to table service. • Liquor can only be consumed while seated at a table. • A full menu is always available when serving liquor. • When the kitchen closes, so does the bar.

NO PHOTO ID, NO ENTRY. YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. Only the following ID is accepted: • Current Australian Driver’s Licence with photograph • Current passport • Current Western Australian Proof-of-Age card. It is an offence to make a statement or produce evidence that is false or misleading regarding proof-of-age. Penalty: $2,000 Section 126(2) – Liquor Control Act 1988

 if you look under 25 we will ask you for id. We want to be sure we follow the law by only selling alcohol to people 18 years and over in our store. If you are asked for ID, please take it as a compliment.

It is an offence for a juvenile to be in possession of liquor in a public place. Penalty: $2,000 Section 123(2) – Liquor Control Act 1988

It is against the law to allow the possession or consumption of liquor by a juvenile on the premises. Penalty: $10,000 Section 122(2) – Liquor Control Act 1988

IF YOU ARE ASKED TO LEAVE THIS VENUE Failure to vacate the premises and its immediate vicinity is an offence. Penalty: $2,000 Section 115 (6) and Section 121 (7a) – Liquor Control Act 1988

An approved manager is on duty at all times at this venue. Penalty: $10,000 – Licensee Section 100(2a) – Liquor Control Act 1988

CAN YOU AFFORD THE RISK? Fines of up to $10,000 apply to any person, parent or licensee who supplies alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 on licensed premises. Section 121 – Liquor Control Act 1988

Violent, disorderly and argumentative behaviour is not permitted at this venue. Section 115(1) – Liquor Control Act 1988

Potable drinking water is free; it’s the law. Penalties: $10,000 - Licensee $4,000 - Manager Section 115(A) – Liquor Control Act 1988
